Xin received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he studied the glycoengineering of antibodies using endoglycosidases. He later joined Prof. Galit Alter’s group in 2019, and his research focused on dissecting human humoral responses against infectious respiratory diseases, including influenza, RSV, and COVID-19. He accepted the position of research scientist under Prof. Daniel Lingwood in 2019 and continued his work on the systems serology profiling of influenza infections.
